The Honorable Justice FREEMAN delivered the opinion of the court: The single issue presented by this appeal is whether a defendant may be allowed on appeal the per diem monetary credit, for incarceration prior to sentencing, provided under section 110-14 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 (725 ILCS 5/110-14 (West 1994)). We hold that the credit may be allowed on appeal.
